  • Families are vetted, and homes must be at an acceptable level to ensure high standards.
  • A host family can be a couple with or without children, a widow, a single mother, and a single adult living alone. In all cases, students get to enjoy the full lifestyle experience.
  • We choose families based on their suitability as hosts, who enjoy having international students in their homes and who like to share their time and experiences with students.
  • The host family may be a single woman, a single-parent family, a young family, a working couple or a retired couple.
  • There are single and shared bedrooms, with private bathrooms (En-suite) and single and shared bedrooms, with shared bathrooms, which are cheaper.
  • Towels are provided.
  • Internet access is at an extra charge where available. (Not every South African family has Internet facilities and those that do are charged by service providers on download volume.) Free WiFi is available at the school.
  • Halfboard consists of Breakfast and Dinner Monday to Sunday.
  • Laundry is carried out in the home at an extra charge.
  • Special requests regarding allergies, family location, and diet (vegetarian, vegan, celiac, halal, etc.) may have an additional supplement but are catered for.
  • You can book the same number of weeks accommodation as of the course or less, but never more.
  • Your host family details will be sent to you two weeks prior to your arrival.
