TKT

The TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) exams are carried out in four modules. You can take each exam individually.

There is no Pass or Fail. Candidate receives a certificate for each TKT module that takes.

Module 1 of TKT evaluates the following candidate´s knowledge

• Terms and concepts of teaching English.
• Elements that support the learning of English.
• Materials, tasks and activities that can be used in teaching English.

Module 2 of TKT evaluates the following candidate´s knowledge

• Notions and skills needed to plan classes.
• Types of evaluation and resources that guide you with the class planning.

Module 3 of TKT evaluates the following candidate´s knowledge

• Language of teachers and students.
• Classroom management.

Grades TKT

Grades are presented on Bands 1–4, with Band 1 being the lowest.

• Band 1 represents limited knowledge.
• Band 2 represents basic but systematic knowledge.
• Band 3 represents a broad and deep knowledge.
• Band 4 represents a thorough knowledge.
